Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Remote Staff Accountant (within PA) to join our finance team. This role offers a predominantly remote schedule with minimal on-site meetings and a competitive salary in the $75,000–$85,000 range plus comprehensive benefits.

You will support day-to-day accounting, payroll, and financial reporting, partnering with leadership to drive accuracy and efficiency. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of experience, solid month-end / GL expertise,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Payroll experience (multi-state preferred).
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with budgeting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Self-starter who enjoys working independently in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process payroll and support multi-state payroll tax compliance.
• Review expense reports and sales commission calculations; assist with annual audit preparation.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Identify process improvements and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Job Details
