Job summary

Holland Roofing Group is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support daily operations, financial reporting, tax compliance and treasury activities in Kentucky. Experience with Commercial Activity Tax and Sales Tax is strongly preferred; treasury management (Wires, ACH, EFT) is required.

The role includes GAAP-based financial review, multi-state tax knowledge, and internal control maintenance, with opportunities to contribute to AI-driven productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience processing wires, ACH and EFT transactions.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and cash management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with Sage CRE 300 software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Process and manage banking transactions (domestic and international).
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
• Maintain internal controls over cash disbursements and receipts.
• Prepare and file Commercial Activity Tax returns.
• Working knowledge of multi-state sales and use taxes.
• Support external audits and provide required documentation.
• Spearhead the utilization/implementation of AI to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities
