The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and manufacturing cost accounting. This role is ideal for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 5 years of experience who is looking to take their career to the next level.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and providing insightful analysis.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner and all payments are collected.
  • Oversee the manufacturing cost accounting process, ensuring all costs are accurately allocated and variances are properly investigated and explained.
  • Work closely with the finance team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing accurate and timely financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and answering any queries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus, not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the scientific or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial staff.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
