Key Responsibilities Of The Senior Staff Accountant

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports
• Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit preparation
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Drive improvements in accounting systems and operational efficiency
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide leadership on complex issues
• Assist with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments including billing, payroll, and legal operations
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior Big 4 public accounting experience is required
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with executive leadership
  
  

Location & Compensation:

• Hybrid role – Downtown Cleveland
• Salary range: $100,000–$115,000, commensurate with experience
• Clear path toward Assistant Controller or Controller-level advancement
