Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an SSD Hardware Architect Engineer to lead hardware architecture for next‑gen SSD products, shaping hardware choices and coordinating across firmware, system and validation teams.

The role requires a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, 10+ years of hardware design and system architecture, strong power integrity, high‑speed routing and PCB design experience, and proficiency with SPICE/IBIS/Hspice tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or computer engineering is required.
  • At least 10 years in hardware design and system architecture.
  • Strong foundation in circuit design, transmission line fundamentals, and power & signal integrity.
  • Experience with PCB design and high‑speed routing; familiarity with design tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define hardware architectures and participate in design reviews and requirements development for SSD products.
  • Design power topologies and ensure power integrity across subsystems.
  • Simulate and analyze designs, providing performance and reliability recommendations.
  • Collaborate with firmware, system, and validation teams to meet product requirements.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across the hardware team.
