Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc is seeking a Principal SSD Systems Design Engineer to lead the design and development of Solid State Drives within their Product Development Team. The role involves driving innovation from concept to manufacturing, mentoring engineers, and resolving complex technical issues.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, deep expertise in SSD architecture, and strong programming skills. This full-time position is located in Longmont, Colorado, and does not support remote arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Deep expertise in SSD architecture including controller design and NAND lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe and NVMe protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level design definition and reviews for SSD products.
• Drive resolution of complex technical issues using data-driven debug.
• Act as a primary technical interface for executive partners.

Skills

SSD architecture expertise

Knowledge of PCIe and NVMe protocols

Programming skills in Python, C++, or Bash

Experience in system-level design and debug

Education
