Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead SRM production processes such as propellant mixing, casting, motor cases, liners, nozzles, and final integration. You will drive DFx, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC to move from prototype to high-rate production while maintaining safety and quality across Midland, TX and New Mexico facilities.

You will collaborate with Design, Propulsion, Automation & Controls, Quality, and Test teams, mentor junior engineers, and help standardize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with SRM or related aerospace/defense work.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of SRM manufacturing processes.
• Drive DFM, DFA, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC to improve yield and cycle time.
• Support NPI and design changes with manufacturing input.
• Perform root-cause analysis and lead corrective actions.
• Integrate NDE methods and in-process inspection into workflows.
• Collaborate with Automation to implement robotics and MES.
• Create work instructions and training materials; mentor engineers.
• Ensure energetic materials handling and regulatory compliance.
• Support equipment qualification and ramp at Midland, TX and NM sites.
• Interface with suppliers to resolve issues and improve quality.
