Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own propellant mixing and casting for solid rocket motor programs. You will develop, qualify, and scale repeatable processes for energetic materials, aiming for high yield, short cycle times, and safe production capable of meeting aggressive demand.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and implement advanced monitoring and automation while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical/mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in process-sensitive manufacturing, preferably energetics.
• Experience with propellant formulations, casting, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own propellant mixing and casting process development and qualification.
• Lead yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, and cost per pound goals.
• Scale from development to full-rate production with equipment upgrades.
• Drive safety analyses, regulatory compliance, and change control.
• Collaborate with Design, Quality, EHS, and customers on non-conformances.
• Specify and implement automation, MES recipes, and data capture systems.
