Job summary

Crux AI in Palo Alto, CA is seeking founding Senior Site Reliability and Software Engineering Managers to build and lead initial fleet reliability teams. You will own software, control plane, telemetry, and automated remediation controllers powering multi‑gigawatt TPU clusters.

This is a hands-on, builder role rather than a supervisory position. You will write the first remediation controllers, set reliability baselines, and hire a senior team as capacity ramps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software or infrastructure engineering experience with 3+ years managing engineering teams owning direct production SLAs and on-call.
• Deep SRE discipline grounded in SLIs, error budgets, blameless postmortems, with a code-over-heroics mindset.
• Hands-on technical depth shipping production code in Go, Python, or C++, across Linux kernels, provisioning, firmware, or high-performance networks.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead senior engineering teams across Palo Alto and Europe as fleet capacity ramps.
• Automate pages to zero with self-healing systems and predictive remediation to reduce manual paging.
• Embed AI/ML into SRE practices for telemetry, root-cause analysis, and predictive recovery.
• Own software for bare-metal provisioning, firmware deployment, and fleet lifecycle software.
