Job summary

AuthZed is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Security to own and operate our production infrastructure with a strong emphasis on security. You will harden the platform, automate guardrails, and advance our threat modeling and incident response practices across distributed systems.

You will collaborate with engineering to embed security into architecture and delivery, while supporting deployments and vulnerability management in a fully remote, international team.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience operating production systems (SRE/Platform/Sec)
• Deep Kubernetes and containerized production environment expertise
• Strong cloud provider security model experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• IAM, networking, TLS/PKI, encryption, secrets management knowledge
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi/Terraform/AWS CDK)
• CI/CD security and software delivery pipeline expertise
• Linux/container security fundamentals
• Observability, monitoring, logging, and incident response experience
• Security-minded automation to solve ops problems
• Ability to lead security-focused initiatives across teams

Responsibilities

• Operate AuthZed's production infrastructure focusing on availability, scalability, performance, and security.
• Advance infrastructure security across Kubernetes, cloud, networking, IAM, secrets management, and encryption.
• Secure the software supply chain: CI/CD, dependencies, container images, provenance, vulnerability scanning, deployment controls.
• Build automated guardrails and secure defaults into the platform.
• Evolve vulnerability management across containers, dependencies, infra, and cloud services.
• Improve detection, response, and incident handling with telemetry and runbooks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead production incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering on architecture, threat modeling, and secure-by-design decisions.
• Contribute to security strategy, customer requirements, and platform security posture.
