Job summary

Vimo is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure our production platform remains reliable, performant, and scalable across health-insurance-related services for state programs. You will design automation, enforce SLOs, and drive a culture of blameless postmortems.

You will lead incident response, build self-healing systems, and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes/EKS, while integrating observability across Loki, Prometheus, and Grafana to support rapid, safe

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, Java, or Bash for automation.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3).
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Terraform and other IaC tooling experience.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge and tooling.
• Experience with observability platforms: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain tooling and infrastructure for high availability and performance.
• Define, implement, and monitor SLOs/SLIs and error budgets for critical services.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with automated rollback capabilities.
• Develop observability solutions using Loki, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, and PagerDuty.
• Lead incident response: triage issues, coordinate cross-team resolution, and write blameless postmortems.
• Automate toil reduction and implement self-healing mechanisms.
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure with automation, security, and cost focus.
• Use Terraform for IaC and Kubernetes/EKS for container orchestration.
• Perform capacity planning and load testing for peak periods.
• Collaborate on architecture reviews and production readiness.
