Job summary

Vimo is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of its production platform powering health insurance exchanges and safety-net services for state governments.

You will help build automation, respond to incidents, and reduce operational toil while collaborating with senior SREs, developers, and infra engineers to scale reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 2+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar operations role.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of networking, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and load balancing.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaborative communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot production services for high availability.
• Respond to production incidents, triage alerts, and coordinate resolutions.
• Document incidents and drive root-cause analysis and postmortems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe deployments.
• Write automation scripts to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
• Improve observability with dashboards, logs, tracing, and alerting.
• Manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Work with Terraform and container orchestration to provision environments.
• Assist with capacity planning, load testing, and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with dev teams to improve service reliability and resilience.
