Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior SRE to shape reliability across the Markets and Risk Intelligence division. You will lead foundations for new projects, establish observability standards, and drive incident reduction with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, Datadog, and cloud security, with strong SRE principles and a collaborative, global team mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in SRE/Platform Engineering
• Azure experience including AKS, Container Apps, VMs, VNet, Entra ID, and managed services
• Kubernetes and containerized platforms experience
• Designing and operating observability platforms (monitoring, logging, alerting)
• Datadog for metrics, logs, APM, and alerting
• Strong SRE principles incl. SLOs, incident management, reliability engineering
• Cloud security principles; collaboration with security teams
• Cloud cost optimization strategies and tooling

Responsibilities

• Lead establishment of SRE foundations for new projects with monitoring, alerting, and readiness from day one
• Define and champion observability standards, tooling, and guidelines across metrics/logs/traces/SLOs
• Design and evolve monitoring/alerting to improve visibility and reduce toil
• Drive reliability improvements through incidents, performance tuning, and resilient patterns
• Partner with Security to meet compliance, security, and risk expectations
• Lead handovers from project delivery into BAU SRE operations with documentation and readiness
• Mentor engineers and shape engineering standards to foster learning and development
