Job summary

Wonder is seeking an experienced Staff-level SRE/DevOps engineer to own production platforms and drive reliability across multi-region AWS environments. You will design scalable infrastructure, manage CI/CD, and lead incident response with strong collaboration across time zones.

The role emphasizes architecture reviews, internal tooling, and cost awareness, operating within PCI-scoped environments while maintaining high standards of observability and performance.

Qualifications

• Staff-level scope: owned production platform end-to-end and led incident response and architecture reviews.
• 8+ years in SRE, DevOps or infrastructure engineering with impact beyond tenure.

Responsibilities

• Architect resilient, self-healing systems and co-own critical production services.
• Own multi-region AWS architecture and data-layer replication for failover.
• Own AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform/Terraspace and Helm tooling.
• Own the Kubernetes platform including EKS lifecycle, upgrades, and autoscaling.
• Own the observability stack, including logging, metrics, tracing and alerting.
• Drive reliability using SLOs and telemetry to close observability gaps.
• Design scaling and capacity strategies for seasonal traffic peaks.
• Manage cloud cost accountability and real-time savings tracking.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.
• Shape incident management and conduct postmortems and reviews.
