Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking an experienced SRE Lead to improve reliability, availability, and efficiency of Schwab's digital platforms. You will drive automation, observability, and resilience, partnering with software, platform engineering, and security teams to safeguard production systems.

In this role, you will design monitoring and SLIs/SLOs, lead on-call rotations, and mentor engineers in DevOps practices while delivering scalable, secure deployments with strong governance

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• 5+ years supporting large-scale production applications.
• Experience leading reliability initiatives across multiple apps/services.
• Strong incident response and post-incident review experience.
• Proven automation and self-service tooling experience.
• Expertise in CI/CD and modern release practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reliable, scalable production platforms across web, mobile, and APIs.
• Lead incident response, triage, restoration, and post-incident reviews.
