Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to own production support for enterprise apps and platform services. You will monitor systems with Splunk and AppDynamics, respond to incidents, and perform RCAs while building automation to reduce manual work with GitHub, Python, Shell, and Power Automate.

You’ll optimize CI/CD with Harness, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Nexus and support Solace messaging, PCF deployments, and disaster recovery tests.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
5+ years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience in related occupation.
Experience supporting middle-tier apps on PCF with messaging integrations.
Strong monitoring/troubleshooting with Splunk, AppDynamics; GitHub and JIRA/Remedy.
Linux/Unix, automation in Python/PowerShell; cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
Observability tools experience with Splunk and AppDynamics.

Responsibilities

Provide production support and SRE for enterprise apps and platform services.
Monitor systems with Splunk and AppDynamics; respond to incidents and conduct RCAs.
Create alerts, dashboards, and runbooks to improve observability and reduce downtime.
Automate deployment and support workflows using GitHub, Python, Shell, and Power Automate.
Optimize CI/CD pipelines with Harness, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Nexus; ensure SLA/SLO.
Support Solace messaging platform and validate service bindings and access permissions.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and mentor junior engineers in SRE best practices.
