Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help scale and secure our production services across data centers and AWS/Azure. You’ll own provisioning, maintenance, and performance tuning, and you’ll participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure reliability.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in systems engineering, strong scripting skills, and experience with Terraform, Ansible, OpenStack, and cloud platforms. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship required.
• 7+ years’ experience in troubleshooting, and tuning in systems, networking, and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable production infrastructure across multiple data centers and cloud regions.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
• Design and implement scalable, observable, and secure architectures.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations to optimize performance and capacity.
