Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Senior Software Developer for its Site Reliability Engineering team. You will build software across observability, incident management, and resiliency domains to improve reliability and availability across services.

You will lead large initiatives, mentor teams, and identify opportunities to automate for greater uptime. The role follows a hybrid schedule with onsite days and collaboration across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Software Development Engineer.
• 2+ years with Kubernetes, AWS, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience leading collaborative projects with Agile/Kanban.
• Experience implementing observability tooling at scale (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Strong understanding of SRE concepts and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build software projects in SRE domains such as observability, incident management, problem management, and resiliency.
• Lead large, ambiguous initiatives from inception to delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve availability and implement automation.
• Provide technical mentorship on observing systems and high availability.
