Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Data & ML Platform team. You’ll build and operate a resilient, scalable data platform used by analytics, data science, and product teams across the organization.

You’ll own Databricks and Snowflake platforms, improve observability with Datadog, and advance CI/CD for data pipelines and ML workflows using GitHub Actions and Terraform. You’ll collaborate across teams to enable secure, cost-effective cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps roles supporting data-intensive apps.
• Hands-on Databricks experience including workspace setup and cluster/job management.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native infrastructure on AWS (or similar).
• Experience with observability tools and platform-wide logging/monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve Databricks and Snowflake platforms lifecycle, including automation and cost optimization.
• Design for reliability across cloud environments with failover and autoscaling.
• Advance observability with monitoring, alerting, and logging using Datadog and other tools.
• Drive CI/CD for data pipelines and ML workloads using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Enable data flow across platforms with inter-cloud data movement patterns.
• Champion event-driven architectures using EventBridge, SNS/SQS, and Lambda.
• Collaborate across teams as the SRE partner for analytics, data science, and product use cases.
• Contribute to strategy on data platform architecture and ML enablement.
