Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Data & ML Platform team. You will build a resilient, observable, and scalable data platform that supports mission-critical data and ML workloads across the organization.

You will work with Data & ML engineers, data scientists, analysts, and app engineers to design reliable cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD, and drive governance across Databricks, Snowflake, and related systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps for data-intensive or ML apps.
• AI-native working style: daily use of Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent.
• Hands-on Databricks experience, including workspace setup and CI/CD integration; also Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve Databricks and Snowflake platforms lifecycle, including automation and cost optimization.
• Design for reliability: architect resilient, scalable, and secure infra across cloud environments.
• Advance observability: build monitoring, alerting, and logging using Datadog and other tools; define SLOs/SLAs.
• Drive CI/CD for data & ML: automate deployments with GitHub Actions, Terraform, and IaC tooling.
• Enable data flow across platforms: patterns for inter- and intra-cloud movement across Snowflake, S3, Delta Lake, Kafka.
• Champion event-driven architectures: leverage EventBridge, SNS/SQS, Lambda for scalable data systems.
• Collaborate across teams: be SRE partner for analytics, data science, and product use cases.
• Contribute to strategy: influence data platform architecture and ML enablement.
