Job summary

ClickHouse is building out a Site Reliability Engineering team to own reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of ClickHouse Cloud. You will lead incident management, post-mortems, and drive improvements across Dataplane, Control Plane, and Core.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams, set SLOs/SLAs, and champion automation, monitoring, and on-call practices to minimize downtime and boost operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related field.
• Production experience with ClickHouse is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Go and/or Python.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of distributed databases and SQL; ClickHouse is a major plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Automation/configuration tools: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet.
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, secure systems.
• Establish and manage SLOs/SLAs for ClickHouse Cloud.
• Ensure monitoring and alerts across Dataplane, Control Plane, and Core.
• Improve incident response and post-mortem processes for outages.
• Drive reliability and performance improvements for ClickHouse services.
• Lead Chaos initiatives and coordinate on-call responses to incidents.
