Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Observability organization. You will design, build, and operate distributed telemetry systems at scale, owning reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

You will participate in on-call rotations, drive root-cause fixes, and develop automation to reduce repetitive work. Collaboration with product, infrastructure, and service teams across ClickHouse is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Hands-on with IaC and GitOps tooling (Terraform, Helm, Argo CD).
• Telemetry experience with OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems that ingest, process, and store telemetry at very high scale.
• Own the reliability, performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency of telemetry pipelines and storage systems.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, resolve production incidents, drive root-cause fixes.
• Build software and automation to eliminate repetitive operational work.
• Identify bottlenecks and help shape the roadmap for the next stage of scale.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and service teams across ClickHouse.
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews to raise engineering quality.
