Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Orlando to design, deploy, and maintain scalable production services across multiple data centers and AWS. You’ll own service reliability, capacity planning, and performance tuning while leading automation and on-call responses.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure robust deployment practices, incident management, and clean post-incident reviews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience troubleshooting, tuning in systems, networking, and cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.
• Experience automating management and operational tasks using Node.Js, Python, or scripting languages.
• Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and LDAP.
• Experience managing large distributed computing environments and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMware vSphere, OpenStack).
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Build long lasting partnerships across Product, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Participate in a 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure.
• Root-cause complex problems involving network, hardware and software.
• Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, capacity planning and reporting.
