Job summary

Nexaminds is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong AWS expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with software, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to enhance observability and reliability across production systems.

This role is based remotely in Mexico, open exclusively to residents, and offers stock options and flexible hours as part of a supportive, growth-oriented team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related role.
• Hands-on AWS experience with core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, RDS).
• IaC proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or Go scripting.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Strong Linux, networking, DNS, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• CI/CD exposure using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Incident management, RCA, and automation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Develop automation tools and provisioning workflows.
• Operate IaC to manage cloud resources efficiently.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability to preempt issues.
• Define and improve SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
• Lead incident response, RCA, and post-incident reviews.
• Automate repetitive tasks and optimize costs.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and safe software releases.
• Enforce security best practices and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with dev teams to improve reliability and readiness.
