Job summary

ICEYE seeks a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to join the ISR Analytics team in Berlin. You will own automation to deploy product across on-prem and air-gapped environments, writing Python tooling and managing infrastructure from bare metal to Kubernetes.

You will enable fast, disposable cloud dev environments and build robust CI/CD for offline releases. You’ll work inside the product team, touching the codebase, and contribute to a sovereign, secure environment used by defense and intelligence

Qualifications

• Must-haves: Senior hands-on engineer (not a manager/architect).
• Strong experience building infrastructure and deployment automation, not just operating systems.
• Solid coding skills in Python, or deep experience in another language (e.g. Go) and willingness to work in Python.
• Daily use of AI tools in engineering work (e.g., code/config/tests generation and review).
• High autonomy: identify problems, propose fixes, drive them through.
• Motivation to work in new defense: building tech for defense forces.

Responsibilities

• Build and own automation that packages our product and deploys it to on-prem and air-gapped environments.
• Write tooling (Python) to fill gaps between off-the-shelf tools.
• Provision and manage infrastructure from bare metal to Kubernetes, versioned from code.
• Keep cloud development environments fast and disposable for full-stack on-demand work.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for signed, versioned, offline-installable releases.
• Set up observability that works when external access is restricted.
• Spot team needs and raise them proactively.
