Job summary

AnaVation LLC in Washington, DC is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and optimize customer database environments. The role emphasizes SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and robust backup/restore strategies on Windows Server, with close partnership to development and infrastructure teams.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS, and a current Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with a BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience as a SQL Server DBA with admin duties.
• Strong data management, security, and disaster recovery planning.
• On-site 5 days a week in Washington, DC with TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain moderately complex SQL Server databases.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage indexes and stats.
• Develop backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for releases.
