Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA to oversee the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems across the organization. The role requires ensuring security, availability, and robust backups while supporting mission-critical applications.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of SQL Server experience, Windows Server expertise, and strong communication skills, with a BA in Computer Science.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
• BA in Computer Science is required.
• Experience with performance tuning and PTO.
• Windows Server experience including Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of SQL server databases.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
• Monitor all SQL server and DB systems' health and performance.
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
• Provide suggestions for solutions.
• Support mission critical applications.
• Install and configure SQL server instances following Microsoft best practices.
• Assist in managing SQL licensing status.
