Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, administer, and support enterprise SQL Server databases across on‑premises and AWS. The role emphasizes performance tuning, HA/DR, automation, and production stability.

You will collaborate with application teams, SRE, and Cloud Operations, participate in 24x7 on-call rotations, and contribute to automation with PowerShell and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with SQL Server administration in on-premises and AWS.
• Advanced T-SQL scripting, troubleshooting, and database administration skills.
• Strong experience with SQL Server performance tuning and query optimization.
• Proactively identify and remediate regressed queries, long-running and resource-intensive queries, inefficient execution plans, CPU/IO bottlenecks, blocking, deadlocks, and other performance issues.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Transactional Replication, and Log Shipping.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving database integrity, performance, availability, migrations, replication, connectivity, security, backup/recovery, and database operations.
• Perform SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Develop and enhance database automation for provisioning, monitoring, backup/recovery, maintenance, access management, and other repetitive operational activities.
• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting for database administration and automation.
