Job summary

CGS Federal in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage Microsoft SQL Server environments, including replication, backups, and performance tuning. The role focuses on migrations from SQL Server 2012 to 2016 and daily database operations.

You will collaborate with IT teams, implement and support SQL technologies, VM infrastructure, and cloud services (Azure/AWS) as needed. Minimum five years of SQL Server experience required; strong problem solving and documentation skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience related directly to SQL Server Database Administration
• Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently
• Experience with visualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Experience and knowledge related to source/change control, bug tracking, SDLC, and integration of Relational Databases
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential and/or sensitive materials
• Comfort with and willingness to work in groups and individually on both large and small projects
• Ability to document, explain, and present any task related to decisions and processes
• Ideally, experience implementing and maintaining data warehouses
• Experience with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS
