Job summary

Accylerate is seeking a Sr. Microsoft SQL Developer to support modernization of a tolling platform. The role centers on T-SQL, performance tuning, and database modernization within a high-availability SQL Server environment on Azure VM (IaaS).

The candidate will work with solution architects, cloud engineers, API developers, and testers to ensure scalable, secure data access and CI/CD deployments via Azure DevOps and GitHub within an Agile/Scrum setting.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of SQL Server development experience in enterprise environments.
• Advanced T-SQL development including query tuning and performance optimization.
• Experience deploying SQL updates through Azure DevOps and GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience on SQL Server in Azure VM (IaaS) environments.
• Experience with Always On availability groups and high-availability architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Modernize SQL components while supporting legacy code and structures.
• Support feature development aligned with microservices modernization.
• Collaborate with .NET Core/C# developers for efficient data access.
• Modernize database models to support modular, scalable architecture.
• Maintain high availability using Always On environments.
• Create migration scripts, ETL logic, and integration solutions using SSIS and Databricks.
• Ensure PCI compliance requirements and data retention rules.
• Contribute SQL changes through CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver work within sprints.
