Innovative Tech Solutions Inc is seeking a Senior SQL DBA in the Washington, WA area to own and optimize critical SQL Server environments. You will design, implement, monitor, and secure databases, collaborating with developers and architects to ensure peak performance and reliability.

The role demands 5+ years of enterprise experience, strong T-SQL and HA solutions, plus the ability to automate tasks and manage DR strategies in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in an enterprise environment.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with SQL Server high availability solutions (Always On, mirroring, replication).
• Solid understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with backup and recovery tools and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance SQL Server database environments
• Monitor database health, performance tuning, and query optimization
• Develop and enforce database security policies, access controls, and compliance standards
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
• Collaborate with developers and architects on database schema design and data modeling
