Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking a Microsoft SQL Server DBA to design, deploy, maintain, and tune SQL Server environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructures. You will manage access, security, and performance in a global enterprise with 24/7/365 availability.

The role requires 5+ years of enterprise SQL Server experience, Azure SQL background, and strong scripting skills in PowerShell and T-SQL. Hybrid work flexibility is offered in a large, safety-focused technology division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or Microsoft SQL certifications.
• 5+ years of enterprise experience as a Microsoft SQL Server database administrator for SQL Server 2019 and later.
• 2+ years of Azure SQL database operations background strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in working with a large enterprise distributed computing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve SQL Server system and database issues, including root cause analysis and mitigation of future issues.
• Collaborate and communicate with support personnel with internal departments and vendor partners.
• Provide timely and efficient support to assigned operations.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations of Microsoft SQL environments including servers, services, and security.
• Apply security patches and hotfixes.
• Handle weekly on-call rotation shifts as well as act as escalation for MS SQL services from other on-call staff members.
