Job summary

Ribbitz LLC in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator for onsite work. You will manage SQL Server 2016/2022 environments, handle installations, upgrades, patching, security, backups, and disaster recovery to meet RPO/RTO requirements.

Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, and tuning databases, monitoring logs, and ensuring high availability across VLDBs. Strong T-SQL, Windows Server, PowerShell, and AWS storage experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in SQL Server 2016/2022 and newer versions.
• Strong knowledge of backup/recovery, encryption, auditing, and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of SQL Server databases.
• Perform routine database maintenance and tuning.
• Monitor error logs and performance metrics; implement best practices.
• Ensure DR/BCP readiness with tested recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage risks and ensure uptime.

Overview:

This is a Senior SQL Database Administrator role responsible for end-to-end administration of SQL Server 2016/2022 and later, including installation, upgrades, patching, maintenance, security, auditing, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery to meet RPO/RTO. The role requires strong expertise in T‑SQL, performance tuning, ETL, SQL Server native tools like Profiler, Extended Events, DMVs, Always On, Linked Servers, and managing VLDBs and high‑transactional systems. You will also handle Windows Server Administration, including building/maintaining Windows Servers & EC2 instances, Failover Clustering (WFCS), PowerShell scripting, endpoint protection, and storage management on AWS. Additional responsibilities include capacity planning, encryption, managing .NET components, web/app/file servers, and providing 24‑hour support for critical systems. Preferred skills include GenTax/FAST architecture, cloud, firewall, Active Directory, and security standards like PUB1075/FIPS/PII.
