Job summary

AAA Fire Protection seeks a primary estimator for fire sprinkler TI, retrofit, remodel, and light commercial projects. You will review drawings, conduct site walks, develop scopes, and produce detailed proposals that align with AAA Fire standards.

The role emphasizes estimating and preconstruction support with coordination to design teams, vendors, and customers, while project management sits with other teams after award.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years fire sprinkler estimating or related field experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20, 24, 25 & local codes.
• Ability to read architectural, mechanical, civil drawings and specs.
• Detail-oriented takeoffs from plans, field conditions, and docs.
• MS Office proficiency; experience with takeoff tools.
• Familiarity with estimating/design platforms (HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, AutoSPRINK).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, as-builts, and jurisdictional requirements to define scope.
• Develop detailed material and labor takeoffs for TI, remodel, retrofit, light commercial work.
• Prepare cost estimates, scope narratives, exclusions, and proposals.
