Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking an Estimator to price contract work, track project costs, and represent the company with clients and general contractors. The role collaborates with Project Managers, Designers, and field teams to ensure accurate bids and controlled project expenses.

Responsibilities include take-offs, coordination with subcontractors, and preparing reports to support cost management throughout the bidding process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years’ experience estimating in fire suppression, mechanical or commercial construction is required.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint interpretation is required.
• Strong math skills are required.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 14, and 96 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform take-offs and prepare accurate estimates within deadlines.
• Attend pre-bid or team meetings to understand full scope of work.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare project estimates by reviewing blueprints, specs, schedule and scope.
• Develop estimating spreadsheets and train project managers in their use.
