Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking an Estimator to estimate contract work, project costs, and manage cost control. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, and general contractors to ensure accurate bids and successful project outcomes.

The role emphasizes take-offs, bid documentation, and coordination with the VP of Sprinkler Operations to develop estimating tools and drive project profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years estimating experience in fire suppression, mechanical, or commercial construction.
• Strong blueprint interpretation and math skills.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 14, and 96.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare take-offs and estimates within deadlines.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and define the complete scope of work.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop estimating spreadsheets with PMs and train in their use.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and align with budgets and timelines.
