Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Service Technician to inspect and test fire sprinkler systems, ensure NFPA compliance, and perform routine maintenance across client sites. You will document results, repair issues, and communicate with customers and account managers.

This role requires strong safety focus, after-hours readiness, and ongoing certification pursuit. Ideal candidates have high school diploma, NICET certifications in line with responsibilities, and the ability to obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• NICET II in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems within 90 days.
• NICET III/IV preferred.
• State Backflow Certification within 6 months.
• Fire Pump Test Certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct detailed inspection and testing of sprinkler systems.
• Assist with inspections and testing of fire alarm, kitchen hoods, and preaction systems.
• Complete testing reports with results and deficiencies promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspect fire extinguisher equipment.
• Diagnose and repair intricate sprinkler system issues.
• Recharge extinguishers and replace worn components.
• Document inspections, tests, maintenance, and repairs.
• Maintain records and client communications for service accuracy.
• Provide guidance and training to clients on system maintenance.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies to ensure operation.
