Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on major sports and entertainment projects in the Greater Washington, D.C. area.

You will oversee self-performed and contracted work, ensuring adherence to contract documents and schedules while promoting safety and quality on site. You will develop, update, and communicate the project schedule, manage logistics, mentor staff, and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences.
• Working knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (OSHA).

• Preferred: field leadership on sports and entertainment construction projects; experience with Procore, PlanGrid, FieldWire, Bluebeam, and P6.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality installation of contracted work for total project or scope, trade, or portion.
• Instill a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors; conduct regular safety inspections.
• Create and manage plans to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality of work aligned with project and company standards.
• Take initiative to deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
• Develop and communicate the project schedule with KPI awareness to stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high functioning team.
• Maintain relationships with project stakeholders and represent the company in meetings.
