Job summary

Okta Inc. is seeking a highly technical Splunk Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve a world-class, scalable observability platform.

You will optimize Splunk data collection, processing and storage, drive incident response, and remove toil by automating deployment and scaling of agents and collectors. The role focuses on Splunk Cloud at scale (1000+ services) with a strong emphasis on dashboards, data correlation across sources, and telemetry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience scaling and managing Splunk Cloud at scale (1000+ SVCs).
• Expertise in creating intuitive Splunk dashboards.
• Data-driven approach to debugging cross-service bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Splunk ecosystem to support observability for SRE teams and business partners.
• Optimize data collection, processing, and storage to minimize latency.
• Lead on-call rotations and post-incident reviews to drive improvements.
• Automate deployment and scaling of observability agents and collectors.
