Job summary

Okta Inc. seeks a highly technical Splunk Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve our Splunk ecosystem, delivering a scalable Observability Platform for SREs and business partners.

You will move beyond monitoring to provide end-to-end observability across services and cloud environments. The role requires deep Splunk Cloud experience, dashboard expertise, and a data-driven approach to performance issues, with in-person onboarding in Chicago or San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years scaling and managing Splunk Cloud at scale (1000+ SVCs).
• Expertise creating intuitive Splunk dashboards across sources.
• Data-driven approach to debugging cross-service bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Splunk Engineering: optimize collection, processing and storage of logs for high reliability and low latency.
• Incident Response: participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews for observability improvements.
• Automation: automate deployment and scaling of observability agents and collectors.
