Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Must have at least two years of experience as a therapist in a hospital, nursing facility, or related medical setting.
• Must hold a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct Speech Language Pathologist services in a nursing facility.
• Attend planning meetings with administration, medical and nursing staff to coordinate therapy services.
• Develop and maintain SLP standards and policies; participate in quality assurance activities.
• Provide guidance and training for new staff; develop work assignments with the Rehabilitation Director.
• Review resident assessments and care plans; participate in discharge planning and program development.
