Job summary

Encompass Health in Cleveland, TN is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and mentor a multidisciplinary team in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

You will provide direct therapy, support clinical education, supervise assistants, and help advance quality outcomes while benefiting from day-one comprehensive benefits and a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's needs.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegating and supervising speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education

Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management

Master's or Doctorate degree preferred

State licensure in Speech Therapy

Certification: CCC (ASHA)

CPR certification

Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience

Therapy Clinical Ladder involvement or specialty certifications
