Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga at Cleveland is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and guide our therapy team.

You will provide direct care, mentor staff, support education programs, and supervise assistants, delivering compassionate, evidence-based treatment in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegating and supervising speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

License or Certification:

Must be in possession of current state license in Speech Therapy. Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC), required. BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
