Job summary

Millennium Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Specimen Collector to travel extensively, starting with 90% travel to establish new accounts and train staff. You will collect urine and saliva specimens, manage shipping, and serve as a liaison among clinics, laboratories, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in the medical field supporting patients
• 2+ years of customer service experience can compensate for medical experience
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Ability to navigate a smart phone and computer
• Valid driver’s license required
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance standards

Responsibilities

• Travel to new accounts to ensure proper setup and coverage
• Support onboarding of new Specimen Collectors
• Serve as subject matter expert with Millennium’s systems and processes
• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections or shipping
• Act as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory leadership
• Record patient information, physician orders and lab details
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens
• Driving to multiple facilities may be required

Senior Specimen Collector

Location: Tucson, AZ

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

Candidates must be able to travel throughout AZ and nationwide travel, as needed.

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor use of prescription medications and illicit drugs supporting improved clinical decision-making as part of treatment for millions of Americans with chronic pain, mental illness, and substance use disorders.

The Senior Specimen Collector is a key role at Millennium Health. As our representative, this position provides exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory. This position is a cross functional subject matter expert traveling 90% of the time to start new accounts and train new Specimen Collectors in the practice.

As a Senior Specimen Collector:

Travel to new accounts to ensure proper set up and coverage

Support onboarding of new Specimen Collectors in the practice

Subject matter expert with Millennium’s systems and processes

Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens

Process and package collections or shipping

Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic, laboratory, LSA Leadership

Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information

Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal

Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite

Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)

Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required

Ideal Candidate:

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred

• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience

• Phlebotomy experience preferred

• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computerrequired

• Valid driver’s licenserequired

• Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus

• Ability to ensure HIPAA,HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.

• Ability to ensure administrative,physicaland technical cyber security controls are always adhered to.

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Physical requirements: sitting 90%, walking 5%, standing 5%,lifting upto 20 lbs.
