Job summary
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized architectural and engineering firm, is seeking a full-time Specifications Writer in Minneapolis, MN. You will create project manuals for vertical construction, draft specifications for Divisions 00-14, and coordinate the entire project manual across disciplines; travel will be required.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or engineering and at least eight years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or engineering
- At least eight years of relevant experience
- Experience leading the specification writing process for Divisions 00-14
- Knowledge of Divisions 03-14, ICC Codes, UFCs
- Experience with MasterSpec, SpecsIntact, BDS SpecLink
- Professional licensure as an architect or engineer
- LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional
- Experience developing and maintaining master specifications for vertical construction
Responsibilities
- Create project manuals for vertical construction projects
- Prepare and write specifications for Divisions 00-14 and coordinate the project manual
- Assist with product research, evaluations and selection
- Develop and maintain master specifications across disciplines
- Mentor staff and participate in building-product education
