Job summary

ECS Southwest, LLP in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Specification Writer III to join our Southwest Building Science + Infrastructure group. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to research materials, develop detailed specifications, and ensure alignment with codes and project requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Science or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of architectural and specification writing experience, including 6+ years in Architectural or Commercial Interiors and 3+ years of increased responsibility in writing, editing, and developing AIA MasterFormat - 3 part specifications.
• CSI membership; CDT Certification a plus; CCS/LEED AP or licensed Architect/Engineer a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in researching product materials and manufacturers for architectural projects.
• Write and edit specifications for projects and coordinate compliance with codes and firm standards.
• Coordinate with project architects, engineers, and other disciplines during specification preparation.
