Job summary

Shields Health Solutions seeks an experienced Specialty Pharmacy Manager to provide hands-on leadership in quality patient care across medication preparation, pharmacological information, and adherence support. You will plan and manage operations, lead a service-oriented staff, and ensure compliance with all laws and accreditation standards.

The role requires PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with licensed pharmacist status and 1+ years in retail/clinical pharmacy management (5+ preferred).

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy and be a licensed Pharmacist.
• 1+ years' experience as a retail and/or clinical pharmacy manager; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong analytical ability, accurate medication administration, sound judgment, and FDA/regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages the pharmacy in compliance with all legal and regulatory parameters.
• Is an active member of the Quality Management Committee.
• Builds a high quality, service-oriented pharmacy team.
• Directs, coordinates, and evaluates pharmacy staff and conducts hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Oversees staff training, competency, and adherence to policies.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies.
• Oversees inventory procedures of Specialty Pharmacy and manages records.
