Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for an onsite role covering retail and specialty pharmacy operations. You will support patients, providers, and pharmacy staff, ensuring safe dispensing, patient counseling and regulatory compliance.

The role requires active pharmacist licensure, 1+ year in retail or specialty dispensing, and opportunities to lead and improve processes in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in the applicable state.
• 1+ year of experience in a retail pharmacy or specialty pharmacy dispensing environment.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in a retail and/or specialty pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders.
• Conduct medication therapy management and document interventions.
• Provide patient counseling and clinical support.
• Organize and direct technician workflow and ensure prescription accuracy.
• Coordinate care activities and resolve insurance-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and 340B program standards.
• Supervise and train pharmacy staff and students.
• Identify process improvements and participate in productivity and quality initiatives.
