Amentum is seeking a Senior Specialty Mechanical Equipment Engineer to support Nuclear Projects – Oak Ridge Group. You will design and review complex specialty machinery, mentor engineers, and manage scope, schedule, and budgets for large projects. Requires 15+ years of experience and a B.S. in engineering from an ABET-accredited school, with proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, Creo, and ANSYS. Travel to Oak Ridge, TN is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in specialty mechanical equipment design.
• B.S. Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget for projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and review of complex mechanical equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure quality procedures and standards are followed (ISO 9000 / NQA-1).
