Job summary

BNY is seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to perform accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including NAV calculation, performance assessment, and expense allocation. You will drive service improvements and guide junior staff while ensuring accurate reporting.

In this role, you will review reconciliations, participate in complex accounting tasks, and provide input on methodologies. A Big 4 background and GAAP/IFRS familiarity are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years total work experience preferred.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
• Experience evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine impact of new regulations on fund accounting practices preferred.

• Conduct accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including NAV, fund performance, expenses, and reports.
• Lead complex Fund/Client Accounting tasks to drive service improvements and efficiencies; enhance processes and perform specialist reviews.
• Provide input into methodologies and supervise junior team members.
• Oversee cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts; resolve atypical transactions.
• Draft client reports on fund performance and review drafts by junior staff.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
